Zhuhai Women's Federation on May 31 provided training to help "mediators" in Zhuhai (a city in South China's Guangdong Province) and Macao improve their ability to help residents resolve family disputes. The event was also intended to strengthen the cooperation between Zhuhai Women's Federation and the Women's General Association of Macao, to improve their family mediation services.
At the same time, the federation held a seminar, during which more than 60 "mediators" (from Zhuhai and Macao) discussed how the federation and the association should establish a work mechanism, through which the federation and the association would work with other organizations (in Zhuhai and Macao) to help residents resolve family disputes.
On the same day, the federation promulgated the Report on Zhuhai and Macao's Family Mediation Services. The report outlined various problems and challenges faced by "mediators" (in the regions), as they have tried to help residents resolve family disputes. The report also focused on strengthening the federation and the association's cooperation to improve their family mediation services.
A cadre with the federation recently told media the federation and the association would make greater efforts to cultivate "mediators" and to establish family mediation service centers (in the regions), to promote the well-being of the regions' residents.
